I was a skeptic when I purchased this. Now I am a believer. The impact is undeniable. It took about a week to feel the effects. Now I use it twice a week to maintain. If I feel I am getting a little blue fifteen minutes works. If you do not have 30 minutes at one time fifteen minutes twice a day works for me. I am very glad I made this purchase.
Very Bright light, but has to be manually turned on and off.

I bought this lamp with the intention of using it to help change the phase of my sleep cycle. I was planning on putting the light on a timer, however, it has electronic controls and so when first plugged in it is off. So my initial plan was thwarted.
However, it is an excellent light to use for SAD, I now have it in the kitchen, where I spend most of my morning and get exposure from it then.
I don't use the ionizer, I didn't buy it for that, I don't really care, but it turns on and off...
Overall, if I were looking for a light that was relatively cost effective for treatment of SAD, this would be the light I pick. I've had no problems with it whatsoever.

I read the reviews before I bought it. I thought, "Well, maybe only the people that had trouble posted a review." Now I'm one of those people. I chose NatureBright SunTouch because it had a large light area, it was inexpensive, and it had the air ionizer. There were reviews saying that something or another didn't work when the light was received. It happened to me, too. Right out of the box, the air ionizer didn't work. The light was working, but I really purchased this light in particular because it came with the air ionizer. I didn't believe the first warnings from other customers, but I took their advice on not exchanging the light for a new one. Some reviewers said that even after an exchange, the second light still wouldn't work. I'm not taking any chances, I'm returning the light for a full refund.

This is the best thing you never thought you needed/wanted. It provides unexplainable calmness and happiness. You will actually be disappointed when the timer shuts the unit off. My wife absolutely loves it and we are both addicted to the SunTouch. The replacement bulbs are pricey and the ion thing is a joke, but it does what it was made to do perfectly.
