The Biobrite Pearl SunRise Clock is derived from clinical research about light along with human patterns. At the start of the morning, the human biological clock will be acutely sensitive to very low intensity light. Consequently, waking with a incrementally ever-increasing light source can lead to a smoother, more healthy transition to wakefulness.

I ordered and received this light just fine and it works as advertised. However, it isn't working for me and I would to return it. However, it is on the company's VERY long non-returned item list which I suppose I should have inspected carefully before I bought it. Now I'm stuck with an expensive lamp I don't want.

I bought this clock hoping to dispell some of the dreariness that happens here in the winter in the NW. It gets dark at 4pm, and you wake up to dark - and it rains all day, and is generally gray. You get the idea. I liked the idea of waking up to an actual sunrise. The clock itself is not well made, it has a standard bulb, and a cheap glass cover. I could make a similar gradual lightening with a timer plugged into a regular lamp and a dimmer. I was not impressed for over 100 bucks. The white noise sound has no volume control. Its either on or off. The only cool part about the light is that you can set it to start dimming at night 45, 30 or 15 minutes before you want to go to sleep. I use this while reading, and do get tired as the lights gradually dim. The light does gradually wake me up in the morning - and that part of the purchase was worth it. However, after a few minutes at full light - it auto turns off. All in all, a good idea, but not the best product. I might look around for one that is better made with more functionality.
It helps . .

I purchased the BioBrite with the hopes I would not snooze for an hour before waking up or "HATE" mornings (which was a real problem). I read reviews and purchased the Sunrise Clock that seemed to be the best value - BioBrite. Overall, I am pleased. Although I still find myself snoozing for 30 minutes, I wake up with a better attitude than when simply awaking to an alarm clock. In my mind, the BioBrite helps bring my body out of sleep more naturally. Thus, it has been worth the investment. My biggest complaint about the BioBrite is that that light turns off after 15 minutes of reaching full illumination. This is NOT good for the snooze habit. I would prefer to have to turn it off manually. I also do not prefer the white noise, but I can simply turn this feature off.
Too bright, no snooze

My husband bought this to replace my prior sunlight alarm clock, and I had to return it. I have been using them for more than 10 years. This clock does not allow you to dim the readout at night unless you set the alarm. It also has no snooze (you can depress the dimmer when the alarm goes off-you have already awoken trying to find this button--and then the light comes back on in 2 minutes!!) Plus, it is huge. If you are looking for a bedside light that also has a clock, then this might be the item for you.
Terrible and Tedious

Considering that this clock is so expensive, I suppose I was expecting it to . . . I don't know . . . actually work! Also, it is very shoddy workmanship and should cost $15, not over a hundred. The instructions are unclear and tedious. The fadedown feature does not work. While struggling to set that feature the bulb burned out; it actually lasted for only six minutes. I can't afford to buy a new bulb every six minutes; that's ten bulbs an hour. A waste of money and not up to Amazon's standards. I am returning this made-in-china junk immediately.
Typically the SunRise Alarm Clock Pearl by way of White-noise has the ability align numerous dawn and dusk cycles at Fifteen, Thirty, 60 or 90 minutes, with adjustable screen settings, fade to nightlight, snooze feature and much more. This particular dawn simulator features a white noise selection that can hide distracting noises and help you get to sleep quicker. It will hide the sound of road trafffic or maybe a snoring partner. The white noise can be set for you to fade out as the sunset light fades, or remain on all night.
